Plaid for Women’s No Mean Girls Conference announces keynote speakers, panelists

Plaid for Women Inc., known as a female-centric media company, is hosting its first national No Mean Girls Conference, which it hopes will be inspirational for women as speakers cover “the business of life.”

The conference will take place in Dallas from Oct. 6-8, with the hope of offering women “a safe, uplifting environment to connect with other inspiring women and to invest in themselves on a personal, professional and spiritual level.” The event will be hosted at the Dallas Marriott City Center, located at 650 N. Pearl St. in Dallas, and registration begins at $397.

Friday, Oct. 6 will feature two keynotes; Dr. Cortney Baker, named 2017 Texas Businesswoman of the Year. Her talk is titled “You are Enough!” and Mica May, CEO of May Designs. Her talk is titled “How A Simple Notebook Changed the Course of My Life.”

Saturday, Oct. 7 will feature Katie Goodman – comic, actress, author and speaker. Her talk is titled “Gag Your Inner Critic: How Confidence and Connection Will Rid Our World of Mean Girl Behavior.”

Sunday, Oct. 8 will feature two keynotes, Tracey Trottenberg and George Kansas, both communication experts and lecturers. Their talk is titled “Awakening the Divine Feminine Leader You Were Born to Be.”

Outside the keynotes and panels, attendees will have networking opportunities, an opening night reception featuring a signature #NOMEANGIRLS cocktail and a special Thelma & Louise Pajama Party complete with prizes, photo-ops and more!

While there, attendees can personalize their experience by choosing six out of 18 presented tracks, each highlighting various topics for personal and professional growth.

According to the release, the #NOMEANGIRLS movement aims to “encourage women to accept themselves and to recognize their fullest potential by defining their own success and living an authentic, purposeful life.”
