Administrative professionals across Tarrant County were recognized for their career excellence during the 2016 Admin Awards on April 26 during a luncheon ceremony at the Fort Worth Convention Center.
Presenting sponsor for 2016 was Burnett’s Staffing Inc.
Founded in 2012 by Sunny Nunan, the daughter of a career admin and Dallas entrepreneur, the Admin Awards competition and celebration is the first and only program of its kind in the United States to publicly recognize the contributions of administrative professionals.
Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price called the recognition program long overdue for “all of you who make the rest of us look great.”
Admin professionals were honored in nine categories. Leticia Fierro of Omni Fort Worth Hotel took home the Fort Worth Administrative Professional of the Year.
Other winners and their categories are: Rookie of the Year, Kayla Cardinale, city of Mansfield; Community Champion, Suzy Gardner, Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth; Above the Call Receptionist, Jeanine Luther, Cash American International; Achiever Award, Paula Davis, Bell Helicopter; Administrative Excellence in Government or Public Service, Theresa Parsons, Tarrant County; Loyalty Award, Mary Nell Kirk, Texas Christian University; Administrative Excellence in Healthcare, Nancy Feist, Alcon; and Spirit Award, Venesha Burelsmith, Higginbotham.
