Rick’s Sports Brief

The Dallas Cowboys are still in the postseason hunt. Albeit a narrow path, it is still a path, nonetheless, following their 30-14 win at the Carolina Panthers Sunday.

At 6-8 the Cowboys likely have to win their final three games, along with some help. Their remaining schedule includes a Sunday night home game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 7:20, followed by a trip to the Philadelphia Eagles on Dec. 29 and a home contest against the Washington Commanders on Jan. 5.

Sunday, Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb joined Michael Irvin in becoming the only receivers in team history to record four consecutive 1,000-yard seasons. Also, with 149 yards, Rico Dowdle rushed for 100 yards in his third straight game.

Micah Parsons posted his 14th career game with at least two sacks. He has the fourth most two-plus sacks games in his first four seasons, behind Reggie White (22), Richard Dent (16) and JJ Watt (15).
