Samuel Adams bringing free Brewing the American Dream Speed Coaching to DFW for the first time

On Thursday, April 26, Samuel Adams is heading to Dallas for the first time with its Brewing the American Dream (BTAD) Speed Coaching event, a news release said.

For the past decade, Sam Adams’ BTAD has aimed to break down barriers and build a community for craft food, beverage and brewing entrepreneurs, giving them access to the capital, coaching and networking that small businesses need to succeed.

The event is hosted in partnership with Accion, the nation’s largest nonprofit small business lending network, and will take place from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the Dallas Entrepreneur Center, 311 North Market St. #200 in Dallas.

Small business owners in food, beverage and brewing from across the metroplex are encouraged to register and attend the event.

Each attendee will participate in up to six 20-minute personalized coaching sessions on topics ranging from sales and distribution to packaging, finance, e-commerce and more, with local small business specialists, food and beverage veterans and experts from Sam Adams and Accion.

Attendees will also receive a copy of the book, Quench Your Own Thirst: Business Lessons Learned Over a Beer or Two, by Sam Adams brewer and founder, Jim Koch.

Est. 2008, the program has provided more than 1,600 loans totaling $23.8 million to food and beverage businesses across the country. Those businesses have in turn created or retained more than 6,600 jobs nationwide.

In Texas alone, BATD has supported Accion in providing 54 loans totaling just over $1 million to food and beverage businesses, that have created or retained approximately 215 jobs.
