Shannon Bettis

Shannon Bettis defines success as someone who makes a difference in the life of someone else – whether at home or at work – and who makes it a practice to grow better through life’s trials.

By that definition, Bettis has been extraordinarily successful.

A senior vice president at OmniAmerican Bank in Fort Worth, Bettis leads the bank’s commercial lending group and is responsible for identifying and developing new strategies to expand the bank’s depth within the market.

Bettis was introduced to the world of banking and finance after returning stateside from Europe, where her husband had been stationed while he was in the U.S. Air Force. She had been taking accounting courses in Europe, but upon enrolling at Mississippi State University she quickly determined that she was far more inspired by the people side of the equation.

“It wasn’t until I figured out that my primary role as banker and manager is to help people get where they want to be, that my passion for sales and service ignited,” she says. “Having the right team to execute on a commercial banking sales strategy throughout Tarrant and surrounding counties was a prerequisite to raising the brand profile for our bank in this space.

“I am surrounded by the commitment of awesome partners at OmniAmerican Bank,” she added.

Beyond her career in banking, Bettis developed a passion for Christian ministry.  As a member of the National Speakers Association and the International Speaker’s Network, Bettis is an accomplished public speaker who has shared her testimony at events around the country.

Bettis is a member of Greenleaf Leadership and a board member of the Collin County Christian Prayer Breakfast and has participated in missions to Brazil, Africa and South Sudan.
