Two Fort Worth companies are in the running: Southwest Office Systems and Renfro Foods:

To vote, go here.

Two. That’s how many Fort Worth businesses are finalists for the annual Dream Big Awards from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. How many other cities can boast two? Try zero.

Fort Worth’s Southwest Office Systems Inc. will be competing for the Minority-Owned Business Achievement Award. Also nominated in that category are Language on Demand from Annandale, Virginia and Vistra Communications LLC out of Lutz, Florida.

In the Dream Big Small Business of the Year Award category, Fort Worth’s Renfro Foods Inc. will be competing against HousePaws from Mount Laurel, New Jersey and NightLight Pediatric Urgent Care out of Sugar Land.

Also from North Texas, The Title Girl in Addison is a nominee in the Emerging Business Achievement Award category.

The Dream Big Awards, presented by MetLife, celebrate the achievements of small businesses and honor their contributions to America’s economic growth.

“Small businesses are a vital sector of our economy. Every day small business owners wake up, work hard, and give their all. When small businesses thrive, our communities thrive, and that’s good for everyone,” said Tom Sullivan, U.S. Chamber vice president of small business policy. “The U.S. Chamber is proud to honor small businesses across the country who embody the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship and significantly contribute to our country’s growth and prosperity.”

The Dream Big Awards program includes Business Achievement Awards to recognize excellence in six categories and reflect the leading businesses in each of the following areas: emerging, green/sustainable, minority-owned, veteran-owned, woman-owned, and young entrepreneur businesses.

Award winners will be announced at the Dream Big Awards Gala on Wednesday, October 3 in Washington, D.C. as part of the 2018 Small Business Summit taking place at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Finalists are now eligible to win our Community Excellence Award. Cast your online vote now for the small business that has demonstrated an exemplary level of leadership and community engagement. Voting is open now through Friday, Sept. 7 at 11:59 PM ET
