Tandy Leather Factory Inc. of Fort Worth has announced a new retail store in Philadelphia that will operate under the name Tandy Leather and open for business on Monday Oct. 17, 2016.
“We have been studying the Philadelphia market for some time and are pleased to be establishing a local presence there,” said CEO Shannon Greene, commenting in a news release.
“This is the first of several new stores expected to open in the fourth quarter, despite the current challenges throughout the retail sector,” said Greene, describing the stores as “not expected to be significant contributors to our top line in 2016, but should be noticeable in 2017 and beyond.”
Tandy Leather Factory Inc. sells and distributes leather, leather-working tools, do-it-yourself-kits and many other products. Its products are distributed through its 27 Leather Factory stores, located in 18 states and three Canadian provinces; 82 Tandy Leather retail stores, located in 36 states and six Canadian provinces; and four combination wholesale-retail stores in the United Kingdom, Australia and Spain.
