Tandy Leather Factory opens Round Rock store

A. Lee Graham

Tandy Leather Factory Inc. has opened a new retail store in Round Rock, north of Austin, bringing the Fort Worth-based company’s store inventory to 80.

“Austin is a great market for us and is large enough to support a second store in the area,” said president and CEO Jon Thompson in a news release.

“We believe having a store on the north side of the city will allow us to further expand our customer base there,” Thompson said.

Serving as store manager will be Deatra Cole, who recently completed management training the company’s flagship store in Fort Worth.

The Round Rock store is at 2001 Enterprise Drive, Suite 130.

Tandy Leather Factory Inc. is a specialty retailer and wholesale distributor of leather, leatherworking tools, buckles and do-it-yourself kits, among other items. The company distributes its products through its 29 Leather Factory stores in 19 states and 3 Canadian provinces; 79 Tandy Leather retail stores, located in 36 states and 6 Canadian provinces; and three combination wholesale-retail stores located in the United Kingdom, Australia, and Spain.
