Tandy Leather Factory Inc. of Fort Worth has reported February sales of $7.2 million, up 2 percent compared to $7.1 million in the same month last year.

“Our sales increased modestly this month and a majority of our stores reported sales gains over March last year,” said interim CEO Shannon L. Greene, commenting in a news release.

“The current business climate continues to be a challenge overall, as we did not see any pockets of regional strength or weakness throughout North America,” Greene said.

The company’s Retail Leathercraft division saw sales rise 4 percent to $4.6 million compared to $4.5 million in the same month last year.
