Tandy Leather Factory reports November sales up

Tandy Leather Factory Inc. of Fort Worth has reported November sales of $8.4 million, up 1 percent compared to $8.3 million in the same month last year.

“Given the retail headwinds we’ve faced so far this year, we are pleased with November sales results, which saw gains across all segments,” said CEO Shannon L. Greene, commenting in a news release.

“As we head into the final month of the year, we are focused on a strong finish for 2016,” Greene said.

The company’s Retail Leathercraft division saw sales rise 1 percent to $5.4 million compared to $5.3 million in the same month last year.

Meanwhile, sales for Wholesale Leathercraft totaled $2.6 million for November 2016, unchanged from the same month last year.

Sales for the company’s International Leathercraft division rose 18 percent, from $329,000 in November 2015 to $387,000 in the same month this year.

Tandy Leather Factory Inc. sells and distributes leather, leather-working tools, do-it-yourself-kits and many other products. Its products are distributed through its 27 Leather Factory stores, located in 18 states and three Canadian provinces; 83 Tandy Leather retail stores, located in 37 states and six Canadian provinces; and four combination wholesale-retail stores in the United Kingdom, Australia and Spain.
