Tandy Leather Factory Inc. of Fort Worth has reported $5.8 million in September sales, up 6 percent compared to the same month last year when sales totaled $5.4 million.
Year to date, sales are up 9 percent to $56.9 million compared to $52 million last year.
“All segments contributed to our September sales gain, with solid sales from the majority of our stores,” said president and CEO Jon Thompson in a news release.
“We released our new catalog this week and are already receiving positive feedback form customers about the new products being offered,” Thompson said.
In the company’s Retail Leathercraft segment, sales rose 7 percent to $3.4 million compared to September 2012 sales of $3.2 million. Year-to-date sales for the division reached $34 million, 13 percent more than sales of $30 million for the same period last year.
Wholesale Leathercraft posted September sales of $2 million, up 3 percent compared to $1.9 million in the same month last year. Year to date, the segment’s sales totaled $20 million, 2 percent more than last year’s sales of $19.7 million.
Meanwhile, the International Leathercraft segment reported September sales of $308,000, up 18 percent compared to the same month last year when sales reached $262,000. Year to date, sales total $2.9 million compared to $2.3 million last year, a 25 percent increase.
