By Bill Bowen Texas Trust Credit Union of Mansfield has introduced a mobile deposit feature that allows customers to deposit checks instantly from any location with cell phone service. Members can deposit up to five checks, or up to $10,000 per day via the mobile deposit feature which works with most Apple or Android smart phones or tablets. User simply take a photo of the front and endorsed back of the check and sends it. The service is free and the first $2,500 deposited each day is immediately available. Mobile deposit is about convenience,” said Texas Trust President Jim Minge. “It gives the member the ability to deposit checks without having to visit a branch or go to an ATM.” The transactions are covered with multiple layers of security, the credit union said. Members can make deposits into a single account or mulitiple accounts, according to information provided by the credit union. Texas Trust is the 21st largest credit union in Texas, with assets of $747 million with deposits insured to $250,000.
