COMING TO CHAPEL HILL
Flippin’ Pizza plans to open branches in Fort Worth this summer as well as in Frisco and Plano soon. “It is our mission to serve up a slice of happiness to every guest, every time,” said Michelle McKee, director of marketing.
Serving New York-style pies and slices with hand-tossed thin and airy crusts, the company makes its dough fresh daily without oil, sugar or high-fructose corn syrup. “Flippin’ Pizza has an old-school New York vibe. The menu also features rotating craft beers on tap and hand-tossed pies made to order for those wanting to kick their feet up a bit,” she said.
For its Fort Worth debut, Flippin’ Pizza chose the Chapel Hill shopping center at Interstate 30 and Hulen Street to be in the heart of the community. “Flippin’ Pizza is all about community and family. We believe in giving back to those we serve. Through our Raise Some Dough Program we support schools, churches and other local organizations by giving up to 50 percent back to their cause,” McKee said.
Also coming to the Chapel Hill center in April is Nekter Juice Bar, which is marching across the southwest with 70 locations dotting Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada and Texas. The franchise was founded in 2010 and serves whole and natural smoothies and juices, as well as cold-pressed coffees.
Rounding out its healthy lifestyle menu are grab-and-go pressed juices, a full line of cleanses, cold-brew coffees, acai and fruit bowl combinations, and even chia seed pudding parfaits. Nekter will fill the void left when Smoothie King moved to its new location on Camp Bowie Boulevard.
