During her tour, Beyoncé has aligned with charities to serve as partners for the singers Formation World Tour. The philanthropic efforts came out of Beyoncé’s BeyGOOD global charity initiative which the Houston-born singer launched in 2013.

On April 23, Beyoncé released a new album with an accompanying video, “Lemonade,” a work that contains social and political statements along with deeply personal songs. The Formation tour kicked off April 27 in Miami.
