The Recovery Resource Council has received a first-time $100,000 grant from the Meadows Foundation to match Texas Veteran and Family Alliance funds, and maintain current counseling services, the agency said in a news release Dec. 20.
“We are grateful to the Meadows Foundation for this grant award. These funds will allow us to continue providing much needed mental health and referral services at no cost to veterans or their families,” said Eric Niedermayer, chief executive officer of Recovery Resource Council.
“Unique to our program, Enduring Families staff are all veterans themselves, or immediate family members of one. They understand the impact of deployment and reintegration afterwards on all involved,” he said.
Founded in 2013, Enduring Families offers free mental health services and referral services to veterans and their families in North Texas from offices in Fort Worth and Denton staffed by five master’s level licensed clinicians provide individualized treatment plans and enrichment programming for all ages The 60-year-old Recovery Resource Council promotes wellness and recovery from substance abuse, addiction and mental health issues in North Texas.
