WM, formerly Waste Management, celebrated with a ribbon cutting at their new Fort Worth location. Area Vice-President Domenica Farmer shared in the excitement of the $62M investment in the state-of-art facility, which is one of only two new locations in the state. “We are thrilled to be in Fort Worth and to have this wonderful partnership with city of Fort Worth. We want to be a great community partner and contributor to the economic impact of this region, by providing employment opportunities and working with vendors and other recycling facilities.”
Mayor Mattie Parker addressed the audience as she congratulated and thanked WM for their commitment to Fort Worth. Jay Chapa and other city officials, along with several members of the city council and Michelle Ford Green Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce were on hand to celebrate and take part in the ribbon cutting with WM. The demand for recycled content and recycling services are expected to continue to rise. The 110K square foot Fort Worth Recycling Facility brings sustainability-related solutions to the central Texas region. Our state-of-the-art facility aims to help strengthen recycling and streamline the material collection process for central Texas, says Brent Bell, Vice-President of Recycling Management.
