Additional Details: LOCAL ZONTA CLUB TO TAKE STAND AGAINST GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE On Monday, NOVEMBER 25TH, Zonta Club of Fort Worth will present a “Zonta Says NO” exhibit displaying a pair of shoes representing each of the 114 Texas women murdered in 2012 by their intimate partners and 5 pair of children’s shoes for the children murdered with them. This free outdoor exhibit will be held in front of the Tarrant County 1895 Courthouse on Weatherford Street from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Information about each woman and child will be included in the exhibit, and orange “Zonta Says NO” wristbands will be distributed to the first two hundred people in attendance. NOVEMBER 25TH starts “16 Days of Activism.” 16 Days of Activism is a global campaign to raise awareness about gender-based violence as a human rights issue at the local, national, regional and international levels, and to demonstrate the solidarity of women around the world organizing in opposition to violence against women.
