30 selected for 15th Cliburn Competition

Piano

The Cliburn has named 30 competitors for the 15th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, held May 25-June 10, at Bass Performance Hall.

The competitors were selected from among 141 pianists who auditioned live in front of a five-member-screening jury in London, Hannover, Budapest, Moscow, Seoul, New York and Fort Worth in January and February. The 141 were drawn from among 290 pianists who submitted applications to participate.

“After an exhilarating and quite thorough process, I am extremely happy with the 30 pianists who will come to the Cliburn Competition in Fort Worth this May. They are engaging and skilled, and – most important – will inspire and move you,” Jacques Marquis, Cliburn president and CEO, said in a news release.

Complete Competition subscription packages are now available at the Platinum Box Tier ($3,000), Platinum Circle Orchestra ($2,500), Golden Circle Orchestra ($2,000), Mezzanine ($1,000), and Gallery ($600) levels. Complete Competition and Individual Round subscriptions are on sale now. Single tickets will go on sale March 31.
