AAF-FORT WORTH ANNOUNCES ADVERTISING AWARDS ENTRY DATES, NEW AWARDS

The American Advertising Federation-Fort Worth (AAF-Fort Worth) will be accepting ADDY Award entries at Near South Studios between the hours of 1 and 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13, 2019, and between 1 and 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, 2020.

Local advertising professionals and students may submit their work to be judged in a three-tiered competition — beginning at the local level, with potential to advance to the district and national stages.

Additionally, this year’s entrants will be eligible for two new awards – “The People’s Choice Award,” which will be voted on by attendees at the Gala in February, and the Mosaic Award – presented to an entry, from any category, that best exemplifies a spirit of diversity and inclusion. Criteria for this award is a demonstration of, understanding of, and sensitivity to the needs, concerns and buying practices of multi-cultural audiences.

The theme for this year’s American Advertising Awards is “Anyone Can Win 2020,” created by the local, full-service graphic design firm Robeegraffix Advertising Design that took home Best of Show in 2018 and Best of Print in 2019 in conjunction with Kisabeth Furniture.

Physical entries must be submitted in an AAF-Fort Worth entry envelope and digital entries will be submitted online.

Those who submit on Dec. 13, 2019, will receive discounted rates for their early entries.

Official rules and guidelines for entering, pricing, how to get entry envelopes and more is available at: www.aaffortworth.com/aaa2020 “We’re very excited to kick-off our ADDY competition season,” AAF-Fort Worth ADDY Chair Susan Cook said in a news release.

“We are fortunate to have a very talented creative community in Fort Worth and Tarrant County, but we’re also a very supportive community. And to that end, this year we have reached out to invite advertising students and professionals from as far south as Killeen and Waco and west to Abilene, San Angelo and even the Permian Basin and all the way up to Wichita Falls to join us,” Cook said. “Unfortunately, clubs in those areas have either folded or been unable to put together their own shows, so we’ll be supporting them as well. We think that will make for a very fun – and competitive – awards competition.”

Judging at the local level will take place in January, and winners will be announced during the ADDY Gala on Feb. 21, 2019 at the Ostreum in Fort Worth.
