Armed Forces Bowl set with Navy if eligible

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — The Armed Forces Bowl will be played Dec. 30 and feature Navy if the Midshipmen are bowl-eligible.

Bowl organizers announced the game, sponsored by Bell Helicopter, played at Amon G. Carter Stadium on the campus of TCU will kick off at 11:45 a.m. EST.

This is the first season in the 11-year history of the bowl in Fort Worth that it has a deal in place to take Navy. The Mountain West Conference will fill the other slot.
