Arts Council of Fort Worth seeks volunteers with business skills

The Arts Council of Fort Worth is seeking business professionals who might want to provide some of their expertise to area arts organizations. The Arts Council of Fort Worth is having a happy hour at ART7 on Oct. 9 to discuss the goals of Business Volunteers for the Arts (BVA) program. BVA’s goal is to bring the knowledge of the business world to the needs of the nonprofit arts community. The happy hour program will take place Thursday Oct. 9 at 6:30 at the ART7 Gallery at 2956 Crockett St.  

Robert Francis
Robert is a Fort Worth native and longtime editor of the Fort Worth Business Press. He is a former president of the local Society of Professional Journalists and was a freelancer for a variety of newspapers, weeklies and magazines, including American Way, BrandWeek and InformatonWeek. A graduate of TCU, Robert has held a variety of writing and editing positions at publications such as the Grand Prairie Daily News and InfoWorld. He is also a musician and playwright.
