Attend the Kimbell Film Festival to see Casanova on Screen

The escapades and exploits of the adventurer Giacomo Casanova have inspired a rich catalogue of beautiful, strange, humorous, and often provocative adaptations for the screen. A weekend of four films includes inspired retellings of Casanova’s life by Alexandre Volkoff (1927) and Federico Fellini (1976), as well as the acclaimed adaptation of Choderlos de Laclos’s 1782 novel Dangerous Liaisons and a celebrated film of Mozart’s 1787 opera Don Giovanni.

This is an all-weekend long event, please see the film time and date schedule below:

— Fellini’s Casanova (1976) will be shown Friday, Nov. 3, from 12:30-3 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 4, from 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.

— The Loves of Casanova (1927) will be shown Friday, Nov. 3, from 3:30-5:45 p.m.

— Dangerous Liaisons (1988) will be shown Friday, Nov. 3, from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 4, from 2-4 p.m.

— Don Giovanni (1979) will be shown Sunday, Nov. 5, from 1-4 p.m.
