Why should Roswell, New Mexico have all the fun?
The Wise County city of Aurora and VORTEXAS are hosting the first Aurora Alien Encounter event at MDResort – Twin Oaks Conference Center on Saturday, April 16 from 10a.m. to 4 p.m.
The event will celebrate an event that is said to have occurred on April 17, 1897 where a UFO crashed and an alien body was recovered and buried in the local cemetery.
Author Jim Marrs will show a documentary, “The Aurora UFO Crash of 1897. “ Other speakers at the event will include Travis Walton famous for his UFO encounter, Nick Redfern who will discuss famous UFO cases in Texas; Tui Snider, who will discuss public reaction to the 1897 “Texas Airship Mystery”; Stephen Andrasko, who talks about UFO encounters in the Old West; and Noe Torres who talks about another UFO crash in Texas, this time in Del Rio.
Aurora is located between Rhome and Boyd on Highway 114.
