Thursday 7/17 RecruitMilitary will host a veteran job fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Irving Convention Center located at 500 Los Colinas Blvd. in Irving. Several attending companies including, Texas Instruments, American Airlines, Bell Helicopter, First Command Financial, Epic Health Services and Nine Energy Services, have committed to coming to hire veterans. Thursday 7/24 The Southlake Chamber of Commerce will host the Market Table Luncheon from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Marriott Solana located at 5 Village Circle in Westlake. The cost to attend is $25 for members, $30 nonmembers. For information go to www.southlakechamber.com or call 817-481-8200.

Symphony Arlington will host KidsNotes at 2 p.m. at the Arlington Public Library Southeast Branch located at 900 S.E. Green Oaks Blvd. KidsNotes is a one-hour program that begins with the reading of a book that introduces the families of instruments in an engaging and fun way. Students engage in games that explore musical concepts such as pitch, rhythm and timbre. Professional musicians introduce and play their instruments, choosing music suitable for a young audience. Randle Harwood, planning and development director for the city of Fort Worth, will provide an urban villages update and discuss their economic development impact in Fort Worth and how funds are allocated for future development in these areas.
