Cash America extends sponsorship of Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl

Fort Worth-based Cash America International, provider of specialty financial assistance programs, has signed a three-extension as a sponsor of the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl. The agreement, starting with the 2013 game, continues a relationship that began in 2009.

“The opportunity to work with a locally headquartered company like Cash America is a perfect fit,” said Brant Ringler, executive director of the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl. “Cash America is a large supporter of our military and we are proud to team with them in order to fulfill our mutual goal of honoring our nation’s armed forces.”

Owned and operated by ESPN Regional Television (ERT), a subsidiary of ESPN, the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl has featured the “armed forces” theme since 2006. Past bowls have included fan-fest areas showcasing armed forces hardware; flyovers; demonstrations by top military skydiving teams; the awarding of custom homes to wounded warriors; on-field induction ceremonies; armed forces bands and honor guard; the awarding of the annual Great American Patriot Award presented by Armed Forces Insurance; and the Armed Forces Merit Award presented by the Football Writers Association of America. The 11th annual Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl will be played Dec. 30 at 10:45 a.m. (CT) at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth. The game will air on ESPN, ESPN Radio and overseas on the Armed Forces Network to members of the U.S. military. Ticket information for the 2013 Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl will be released on Oct.1 and can be obtained at ArmedForcesBowl.com. Armed forces veterans and active-duty personnel receive free admittance via the bowl’s corporate armed forces ticket underwriting program, while supplies are available.
