The Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial will collect donations for families in Texas and Oklahoma impacted by recent storms by encouraging fans and the public to donate cash directly to the American Red Cross during the tournament. Throughout the tournament Red Cross stations will accept donations which directly support Storm Relief through the American Red Cross. Fans who donate will be given red ribbons to wear in support. The public does not need a tournament ticket to make a donation. They can donate at the Will Call station coming into Colonial at Rogers Road and Colonial Parkway, just west of University Drive. To show support for Storm Relief and the American Red Cross, the tournament is encouraging all fans and players to wear red during Sunday’s final round of the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. In memory of those who lost their lives in the Texas-Oklahoma storms, small flags from both states will be placed in the flower beds on the 18th hole. In addition, Cadillac has donated a new ATS compact luxury sports sedan to the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial to support Storm Relief. The tournament will also sell 1,000 raffle tickets for the vehicle at $100 each which wlll raise $100,000 for American Red Cross an Storm Relief. The tickets will be sold during the tournament at the Cadillac Luxury Lounge and at a private tournament event atBilly Bob’s Texas Thursday night.
