Cowtown Farmers Market to open

Cowtown Farmers Market will have a new location, off Clifton Street, on the campus of the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC). The market will be open every Thursday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. beginning August 1.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with the UNTHSC Earth Club to start this new market,” said Gwin Grimes, president of the North Central Texas Farmers Market Corporation, in a press release. “By providing fresh produce and locally-made food on campus, we hope to be able to help the student organization meet their goal of promoting good health in the community.”

North Central Texas Farmers Market Corporation is a nonprofit organization that operates Cowtown Farmers Market. The organization has been serving the Fort Worth area for more than 30 years. Products intended to be sold at the organization’s emporiums must be grown or produced within 150 miles of the market. North Central Texas Farmers Market Corporation is responsible for inspecting and verifying that members meet this requirement.
