Dallas: Bush Center features 2006 White House holiday decor

DALLAS (AP) — The George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas features a look at a holiday past with recreation of Christmas at the White House using some decorations from a dozen years ago.

The exhibit, called “Deck the Halls and Welcome All: Christmas at the White House 2006,” opened Thursday and runs through Jan. 6.

Organizers say the exhibit includes traditional and elegant decorations that decorated the White House in 2006. The items also include behind-the-scene photos of the original display.

A holiday tree lighting will be held Nov. 27 in the courtyard at the Bush Center, located on the campus of Southern Methodist University.
