If you’re looking for a free event to get you and your children out of the house and also learning about art and culture the Kimbell has an event for you.
This Saturday, Aug. 5, and Sunday, Aug. 6, the museum is hosting its Musical Moderns: Family Weekend as part of its Family Festivals series.
“Drop by the education studios to groove with some lively tunes and create colorful mixed-media works inspired by Matisse, Klee, Kandinksy, and other modern artists who also loved music,” the website reads.
This family weekend coincides with the museum’s special exhibition A Modern Vision: European Masterworks from the Phillips Collection. Admission is required to visit the special exhibition.
