BLK EYE Vodka

At the Global Spirit awards in Las Vegas nine judges with 175 years of combined experience named BLK EYE Vodka best traditional vodka and awarded it a double gold medal in late September, according to a news release.

BLK EYE Vodka earned this award despite its “non-traditional” main ingredient, black eyed peas. Distilled 22 times from Texas-sourced, non-GMO black-eyed peas and corn, BLK EYE Vodka is an ultra premium, uncommonly smooth vodka with minimal burn and a clean, subtle taste ideal for mixing or sipping, the release says.

“We approach distilling with an artisan’s commitment to craftsmanship, and it is an honor to have our process and the result of that process recognized at international competitions,” Scott Billings, master distiller and co-CEO, said.

Other awards BLK EYE Vodka has received include:

- FWBP Digital Partners -

• A silver medal at New York World Wine & Spirits Competition

• A gold medal at the Fifty Best’s Best Domestic Vodka 2017 awards

• A silver medal at the San Diego International Spirits Competition

BLK EYE Vodka is available in more than 100 restaurants and bars plus 115 liquor stores across Texas as well as the distillery, the release says. It is easiest to find in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, Houston and Lubbock areas, but the list of locations continues to grow .
