Fort Worth music festival to debut in spring

🕐 1 min read

Fortress Festival, a new event celebrating music and culture, is set to take the stage April 29-30, 2017, in Fort Worth.

Fortress Presents, a Fort Worth-based independent production and promotions company, is partnering with the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth to put on the event, which will feature a variety of local artists.

The Modern will serve as an official venue and promotional partner for the inaugural event. The festival will include two stages, one on the grounds of the Will Rogers Memorial Center and another on the Modern’s reflecting pond.

The Fortress Presents team, founded by Alec Jhangiani and Ramtin Nikzad who helped create the Lone Star Film Festival and the Lone Star Film Society, also is collaborating with Margin Walker Presents, the team behind the inaugural Sound on Sound Fest in November.

The initial music lineup, along with other festival details, will be announced in coming months.
