In an all-too-common turn of events, Mussorgsky’s grandiose Pictures at an Exhibition far outstrips the original paintings’ fame—be there when the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra brings this masterpiece to life with Music Director Miguel Harth-Bedoya. Cellist Raphaela Gromes performs Schumann’s sublime and enigmatic Cello Concerto in her U.S. debut, and the concert opens with Schubert’s Overture to his romantic opera Alfonso and Estrella.
