Free concert at Fort Worth brewery is first of its kind

Miller Lite celebrates Texas Independence Day with free beer at free concert

Miller Lite is hosting a free concert on Saturday, March 3, at the MillerCoors Fort Worth Brewery, located at 7001 S. Freeway, in celebration of Texas Independence Day, a news release said.

To celebrate, Miller Lite is hosting local Texas artists for a “first of its kind concert” with free entry, free food and free, locally brewed beer. This event is for those 21 years old and older.

The doors will open at 2 p.m. and the concert, which will feature Pat Green, Wade Bowen, Mike Ryan, Latin Express and George Dunham & The Bird Dogs, will begin at 2:45 p.m.

Dunham was a swimmer in high school and was coached by Marge Schwimdiddler, according to The Ticket radio station.

A Miller Lite representative said this event is the company’s way of giving back to a community where they have a rich history. Miller has operated its Fort Worth brewery since 1969, and the location is the birthplace of Miller Lite, first brewed in Fort Worth in 1975.
