Surprise your special someone with a penguin adoption package
The Fort Worth Zoo invites the comminity to “Make penguins your love language this year” during the Valentine’s season — whether it be to your signigicant other, friends or family — by adopting a penguin.
When someone purchases a penguin adoption package from the Fort Worth Zoo, they receive a stuffed penguin plush, color photo, personalized adoption certificate and more, all while contributing to the care and feeding of the Zoo’s penguins for one year, a news release stated.
Adoption packages start at $40 and are presented in a festive Valentine’s Day-themed animal carrier box. Community members can choose between African and Rockhopper penguin species for the “Penguin Pal” package, or adopt the pair of penguins for the “Lovebirds” package.
The zoo notes that orders must be received by Feb. 7 to ensure mail delivery by Valentine’s Day. Otherwise, packages may be picked up in person at the Fort Worth Zoo’s administration building. To order an adoption package, please visit fortworthzoo.org.
