The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and the musicians’ union have reached a tentative agreement that could lead to the organization resuming its schedule.
The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra Association and the American Federation of Musicians, Local 72-147, announce on Dec. 3 that a tentative agreement was reached on a new contract for the musicians of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. This agreement was reached after two days of federal mediation and more than a year of bargaining.
The musicians of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra has been on strike since September.
The tentative agreement is pending a ratification vote on behalf of the musicians. That vote is scheduled to take place Wednesday.
No further details regarding the agreement will be disclosed prior to the ratification, according to a news release from the Musicians’ Union. .
