Rain or shine, Rockin’ the River will be holding its season finale this Saturday at Panther Island Pavilion.

The news release says that the “absolutely FREE” event will feature five live performances from different bands on the Trinity River and that the shows can be seen from a tube or from the shore.

The gates open at 1 p.m. and the Rockin’ the River website says that the first three shows will be Grady Spencer & The Work (2:15 p.m.), Jared Deck (3:45 p.m.) The Peterson Brothers and (5:15 p.m.). The headliner, Bart Crow, will perform at 6:45 p.m. Each of these performances will be on the Coors Light Waterfront Stage.There will be an after party band performance by The O’s at 8:15 p.m. on the Pacifico Southshore Stage.

There will be a fireworks show at 9:25 p.m. The press release says that there will be “an extra special fireworks show that promises to wow the crowd with a signature ‘fire-bomb’ finale.”

There will also be food available on site from Salsa Limon, Texas Turkey Legs and Alchemy Pops. The press release says that soda, water and beer will be available for purchase from this week’s Beer Slingers: Vision Fort Worth and Need YPO. The proceeds will benefit these non-profits. Tubes, kayaks, canoes and stand-up paddleboards can be rented.
