This weekend the international show “Menopause The Musical” is coming to town at the Eisemann Center’s Bank of America Theatre.

Menopause The Musical is “a groundbreaking celebration of women who are on the brink of, in the middle of, or have survived ‘The Change.’”

The show has been running for 16 years across the globe and tells the story of four women with “nothing in common but a black lace bra on sale.” The entire production takes place in a department store where the characters poke fun at their “woeful hot flashes, forgetfulness, mood swings, wrinkles, night sweats and chocolate binges.”

Through the sharing of their age-related struggles, these women with nothing in common become part of a “sisterhood” as they take menopause from “The Silent Passage” to be dealt with alone and embarrassed, to a completely natural stage in the life of every woman.

Shows will play at the Richardson theater, located at 2351 Performance Drive, Friday through Sunday at the following times:

— Friday – 7:30 p.m.
