Jones Academy of Fine Arts and Dual Language will be hosting a National Dance Day event Saturday July 29 from 9 to 10 a.m. The event will be at the Texas Trust Credit Union Outdoor Performance Area on the Jones Academy campus.
The news release says that the event is open to all of the Arlington ISD community and gives the community a chance to come together to celebrate and promote dance. The beginner routine will be taught at 9:15 a.m. by the Jones Academy dance director and the performance of the routine will be filmed at 9:40 a.m. The video will then be uploaded to YouTube and the National Dance Day website.
Registration for the event will be at 8:30 a.m. and the warm up will be at 9 a.m. There will also be concessions available that will benefit the Jones Academy PTA. The news release said that participates will need to sign a liability waiver and give permission to participate in the video.
