Are you a writer working on a project but facing obstacles such as being overwhelmed, having writers block, not having a developed writing plan or the time to churn out a book? Well the Jumpstart Writing Workshop is here to help!
On Saturday, Aug. 26, there will be a one-day intensive workshop to put attendees on track to start, maintain momentum and complete their writing projects. The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Arlington’s Equip Lounge on the second floor, and is $95 to attend.
Participants will be given worksheets, video training and materials to help them bring their work in progress to fruition.
“You will get the chance to learn new strategies and skills, create content for your work in progress and also rub minds with other aspiring authors like you,” the website reads. “Our goal is to help you complete your manuscript and get ready to publish. Come prepared to write and advance your project.”
Attendees should bring a laptop and any content, works-in-progress or story ideas to the workshop, which will be split in two parts.
The first section will discuss strategies and methods for creating a writing plan, using time for optimal productivity, creating a content map and more. The second section will give writers the chance to create a book outline, or write more pages if they already have an outline.
