She came in like a wrecking ball! Or at least that’s what we imagine Hillary Clinton’s campaign is hoping to achieve with future door-knocker Miley Cyrus.
Cyrus, who hasn’t been shy about her disdain for GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump (she’s threatened to leave the country if he makes it to the Oval Office), will be going door to door in Northern Virginia as a volunteer for Clinton’s campaign, according to a Cyrus lyric-stuffed announcement by a campaign staffer.
“The Voice” coach, who had initially thrown her celebrity weight behind Sen. Bernie Sanders (Vt.) in the Democratic primary, has repeatedly used her own to jump into the political arena and amplify causes she believes in (namely abortion rights and gay rights) on social media.
Just last year she tweeted out the office phone number of Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., who supports anti-gay rights legislation, and asked her “hippies” to “stir some s– up.” No doubt when unsuspecting Virginia voters open their front doors to find Cyrus on their porch, the pop star plans to do just that.
