Arlington’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration, dubbed Advancing the Dream 2018, will be held Friday, Jan. 12 through Monday, Jan. 15.
Gov. Greg Abbott will serve as Honorary Parade Grand Marshal for the annual Toyota North Texas Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade & Celebration Monday, Jan. 15, in Arlington.
Other celebratory events will include:
— MLK “ADVANCING THE DREAM” AWARDS BANQUET at 6:45 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12
— The MLK STEP COMPETITION at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13
— POETRY MEETS JAZZ at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13
— DR. KING/HUBERT MOSS ECUMENICAL SERVICE at 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 14
— MLK DAY OF SERVICE at 9 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 15
— and MLK YOUTH MUSICAL EXTRAVAGANZA at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15
