Sunday Funday kicks off on June 8 as Panther Island Pavilion on the Trinity River in Fort Worth offers $5 tube rentals, food, music, kayaks, canoes, pedal boats and stand-up paddle board rentals.

“Since the start of Rockin’ the River, we have had a ton of requests to hold a tubing event on the weekends,” said J.D. Granger, executive director of Trinity River Vision Authority, in a news release.

“We are giving the public exactly what they’ve asked for, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring another weekly event to Panther Island Pavilion,” Granger said.

Patrons can purchase beer from Panther Island Brewing, Fort Worth’s newest craft brewery. A special brew named Real Good was inspired by the new Sunday event.

Patrons may bring blankets, chair, games and other items for fun in the sun. No outside coolers, food or drinks will be allowed, though. Gates open at 1 p.m., with the event lasting until 6 p.m. Sunday Funday will take place until Aug. 10.
