Runners, cyclists and other Trinity Trails users should know that portions of Trinity Park will close for Mayfest.

From Monday April 21 through Monday May 5, park land just north of Interstate 30 will close to the public for Mayfest setup, the festival itself and teardown.

A complete activities list for this year’s 42nd annual event is available at https://www.mayfest.org.

In its years of operation, Mayfest has returned more than $6.5 million to Fort Worth to help fund city parks, Trinity River recreational development and community projects. Last year alone saw event proceeds help purchase lighting and solar-powered trash receptacles for Trinity Park; underwrite and expand Kids in the Kitchen in area schools, a program promoting healthy lifestyle choices; and help launch Share the Trail, a safety program encouraging runners, cyclists and others to share the trails.
