West Seventh is hosting an interesting space for one night only, Gallery Night September 12. Absolut Art House, located at 2913 Crockett, is a pop-up art environment hosted in conjunction with Absolut Vodka, celebrating Texas artists. It is free and open to the public.

In the past, Absolut has collaborated on several “Art Bar” Installations since 2012, but those have been in notoriously avant garde locales. Some of the past Art Bars have popped up in Basel, London, Miami Beach and Hong Kong. Each Art Bar installation sets an elaborate stage with the inspiration of a chosen artist and features craft cocktails dreamed up for the occasion.

This will be an Absolut Art House space instead, and since it is open to the public, there will be no alcohol served at this location. Some of the restaurants and bars in the area like Bar Louie and Waters will be featuring special Absolut Vodka-based cocktails to support the event. Other Texas Art House events have taken place in Houston, Austin and San Antonio. Now they will add artistically relevant (and blessed) Fort Worth to that list. This one is sure to be the see-and-be-seen event of Gallery Night 2015 (Warhol hairdo and go-go boots optional).

The Absolut Art House event is on Saturday, September 12 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. A collection of Absolut inspired art pieces will be sold through a silent auction with proceeds benefitting Emergency Artists’ Support League (EASL). On display will be works by Fort Worth native, Brad Jensen who designed a Warhol-inspired vodka bottle design for Absolut Texas depicting an intricately-tooled boot. The canvas version of this artwork will be available to bid on in the silent auction. Other artwork will include the 3-D aluminum sculptures of familiar Texas items like an agave plant, a star and a 12 foot vodka still featuring the key ingredients in Absolut Texas, cucumber and serrano chile, by artist Cruz Ortiz.

As soon as Gallery Night is in the rear-view window, West 7th has even more on tap. You should begin your pint-lifting exercises immediately in anticipation of the sixth annual Brewfest on Crockett Craft Beer and Live Music Festival on September 19. This year’s Brewfest will kick-off by hosting the first ever Brewfest Games benefitting Autism Therapy in Fort Worth from 3 p.m. − 5 p.m. Teams of four can compete in games such as Giant Pong, Dizzy Lizzy, Flip Cup, and more for top prizes. Registered participants get two drink tickets for Goose Island Oktoberfest, a game pass for The Main Event Fort Worth and access to a special VIP area with snacks sponsored by Brewster’s West 7th.

Angela Hall is Director of Marketing with Vestar Property Management. She says you can expect, “A unique selection of craft beers at $5 a pint, plus live music including headliner “Back in Black” an AC/DC tribute band at Brewfest from 5 p.m. − 10 p.m.”

Then on October 4, from 2 p.m. − 6 p.m., get ready for Fall Bites & Flights, West 7th’s premier food and wine tasting event. Hall says, “Purchase a Foodie wristband for $25 to get all-you-can-eat access to the small bites dishes served by participating restaurants. Enjoy the wine tasting pagoda experience featuring Texas wineries available for an additional $12 per person which gives you five tickets to redeem for wine sampling, plus you get to keep the West 7th commemorative wine glass. There will be live music up and down Crockett Street.”
