There will be more Rockin’ the River this year.
But don’t show up at the Panther Island Pavilion on Thursdays this year. The series, now in its seventh year, moves from an extended happy hour Thursday event to an all-day Saturday party.
“We listened to our fantastic fans – they now get to rock the river on the weekend,” said Trinity River Vision Authority Executive Director, J.D. Granger.
Each week, the gates will open at 1 p.m. with five different bands playing back-to-back sets beginning around 2:15 p.m. on the Coors Light Waterfront Stage. After the headlining band finishes at 8:15 p.m., the party will head to shore with the final band playing until 9:15 p.m. on the Pacifico Stage.
In addition to live music on two stages; food and beverage options will be available, as well as tube and watersport rentals. Rain or shine, we rock the river. In the event of inclement weather, the party moves to The Shack. Each event ends with a fireworks show right on the banks of the Trinity River.
Thirty bands over the six-week music series will perform at Rockin’ the River, including top Texas Country artists and, new this year, a little rock and soul sprinkled in the mix each week. Kicking off the festival series on July 1 is headliner Zane Williams. Other acts throughout the summer include Prophets and Outlaws, Shane Smith and the Saints, Zac Wilkerson and more.
Rockin’ the River is presented by Andrews Distributing Company and Coors Light. It is sponsored by North Texas Marine, Backwoods Fort Worth, Margaritaville, 95.9 The Ranch and produced by the Trinity River Vision Authority.
