Four long-time leaders at the Fort Worth Opera (FWOpera) have been promoted, the organization said June 14. Jen Appleman, the company’s former development projects manager, will now serve as director of development, succeeding Suzy Williams who recently retired after 11 years. Appleman brings seven years of experience and will oversee the management of the company’s development staff while working to boost philanthropic giving to the organization.
Former Managing Director Keith A. Wolfe, a 14-year veteran of the company, has been appointed to the newly-created role of executive director. His new responsibilities include expanded fundraising. He will continue to coordinate cross-departmental projects. Adam Schwartz, former production manager, will now serve as the director of production. He is charged with organizing and overseeing the production of FWOpera’s annual Festival, following the departure of longtime Producing Director Kurt Howard. Nathan DePoint, former company manager, is now the director of artistic administration. He will be responsible for the contracting of Festival artists and overseeing the Festival Chorus while managing the organization’s new works showcase Frontiers.
Rounding out the staff is former FWOpera Studio Artist Amanda Robie as company manager. She returns to the organization after a career as a singer, performing with companies including FWOpera. Betty Dillard bdillard@bizpress.net
