The fifth-annual Smoked BBQ Fest expands to Fort Worth this year.

Smoked BBQ Fest, the festival lauded by foodies and music fans alike will bring some of the best pitmasters in Texas to DFW denizens.Smoked BBQ Fest took place in Dallas Saturday, Sept. 22.

This weekend the smoke drifts over to Fort Worth for the first time for a Texas-sized food fest in front of the Livestock Exchange Building at the historic Fort Worth Stockyards(131 E. Exchange Ave.) on Saturday, Oct. 13.The festival organizers recently announced a full music line-up for both events and complete lists of pitmasters appearing at both events,and new on-site activities. Every year, pitmasters from across the wide Texas expanse join forces to smoke cook and serve some savory meats all while benefiting Café Momentumin Dallas and Cops for Kids in Fort Worth.

Smoked BBQ Fest on the Summerfield atTate Farms Stage, including Charlie J. Memphis, Simon Flory, Chris Erickson, and Joshua Ray Walker.But that’s not all: Family-friendly fun can be had with the Trailer Park Olympicsin Dallas featuring, armadillo races, a mechanical bull, chicken shit bingo and a butt sketch caricatureartist. Smoked Fort Worth will include pony rides, longhorn photosandfreeentranceto the Stockyards Museum. General Admission =passes to the event are $50in advance and allow for entry into the festival at 2 p.m. along with three hours of complimentary BBQ tastings, live music and games. General Admission Children’s Passesfor those ages six to twelve are $10. Children under five get in free. VIP Passes to the event are $90in advance and allow for entry into the festival at 1p.m.for an extra hour of exclusive BBQ tastings. Upon arrival, VIP pass holders receive two complimentary drink coupons, access to the premium VIP area with a VIP barand VIP restroom.
