Stage West Theatre is installing an assisted listening device system to elevate the theatre-going experience for patrons with hearing difficulties.
The system will be available for the first preview of “Lungs” by Duncan Macmillan at Stage West’s Main Stage on July 25.
Annie and John Mason gifted the theatre 16 receivers and headphones to make the system possible. Additional t-coil neck loops are also available.
The system will be made available at Stage West’s second theater space, Studio, once the upcoming renovations to the venue are completed.
Audience members can reserve their preferred devices in advance or request from the box office upon arrival.
“There aren’t enough words to express how grateful we are to be able to offer this system to the hearing-impaired public,” said Dana Schultes, Stage West’s executive producer. “Our patrons mean so much to all of us. Every chance to increase their comfort and enjoyment while at the theatre is a delight,”
