This weekend, the 2017 Sunday Cinema Series is presenting the documentary The Fabulous Allan Carr at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 24, at Sundance Square’s Four Day Weekend. Tickets can be purchased at the link above for $10.

“The Sunday Cinema Series brings the best of classic Hollywood movies, documentaries, foreign films, short films and independent films that you won’t find anywhere else,” the website reads. “Help us make the Sunday Cinema Series a Sunday tradition in Fort Worth.”

IMDB offers the following description of the film, which features the life of film director Allan Carr: “Armed with a limitless Rolodex and a Benedict Canyon enclave with its own disco, Allan Carr threw the Hollywood parties that defined the 1970’s. A producer, manager and marketing genius, Carr built his bombastic reputation amid a series of successes including the mega hit musical film GREASE and the Broadway sensation LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, until it all came crashing down after he produced the notorious debacle of the 1989 Academy Awards.”
