Zac Brown Band to headline College Football Playoff game in Arlington

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — The Grammy Award-winning Zac Brown Band will headline the tailgate party before the inaugural College Football Playoff national championship game in January.

Game organizers announced Wednesday that the Zac Brown Band will perform on Jan. 12.

The tailgate outside AT&T Stadium will begin at noon on game day. It’s a free event for those holding tickets for the game.

There are also concerts with national recording artists planned the weekend before the game. Performers for those events will be announced later. Zac Brown Band is known for hits such as “Chicken Fried.”
